I am originally from a small city called Beja, located in the south of Portugal, and I am now living in the capital Lisbon. I worked for several years in the field of biomedical research and I am passionate for every thing to do with science research in general. Currently I'm working as a freelance science writer and editor, which I really enjoy :)

I collect coins and stamps, being the last one a big reason why I signed up postcrossing. I am also crazy about jigsaw puzzles, in particular those that recreate famous art paintings.

I love to travel and to know new places, so postcrossing is also a way for me to do that when I don't have the chance to really go out the door. Or just to know more about places that I have never heard about. This may be a first step for me to start planning new trips, so all tips are welcome.

I'm also a bookworm! I'm always on a constant battle with myself to not buy more books :) But I'm always open to the suggestion of writers of different nationalities. Who would you recommend from your country?
