Hello, I am Alan Binnington, turned 65 in 019 (which is quite an achiement) and retired these last four years.
Currently enjoying the life at my pace in the lovely old town of Stamford in Lincolnshire, England.
I am originally from Beverley, another lovely old town, in the East Riding of Yorkshire so am still settling in to be a Lincolnshire "Yella Belly" (local colloquial name from the Lincolnshire yellow newt).

I enjoy listening to "nearly" all types of music, both live and on vinyl, quite often with a beer in hand. That being another of my passions, beer of all styles (apart from bland, gassy "British" lager) which I enjoy travelling the world to try.

I used to be an Aerospace designer working on satellites and other spacecraft so I keep up an interest in space and aircraft generally (still one of the safest ways to travel).

If i was asked for my favourite sport it would be Rugby League, with Hull FC being the best team around but I do watch a bit of football and have always favoured Liverpool (currently club champions of England, Europe and the world !!!!)
