About Ala...

Hello everybody !!!
A little bit about the history of my city. I live in the beautiful city of Mogilev (Belarus). It was founded in 1267.

Mogilev is the third largest city after Minsk and Gomel. The population is 381,353 people. It is located on the picturesque banks of the Dnieper, 645 km from its source. The extensive network of railways and highways diverging from the city in all directions connects it with the largest industrial and cultural centers of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
200 km separates Mogilev from the capital of Belarus Minsk, to Moscow in a straight line - 520 km, to St. Petersburg - about 700 km, to Kiev - 380 km. The Dnieper River divides the city into two parts. The width of the Dnieper in Mogilev reaches almost 30 meters. The Dnepr River is navigated for 230 days a year (100-150 in dry season).
