About Adam...

I have always enjoyed post cards! From simply looking at a selection on a display rack in a store to receiving one from a far off destination, these are great snapshots of the world.

Having an avid interest in geography, travel and pretty much any interesting picture, a post card is a unique way to see the world. I have found when I have purchased post cards, I usually prefer the landscape, landmark styles of either the current or past times. However, I am not overly particular of the subject so feel free to send whatever you enjoy.

Living in Canada, many people internationally think of the three M’s when it comes to Canada: (Mounties, Mountains and Moose). While all three of those are great on their own, they are seldom found together at the same time! Where I live in particular, it’s on the Canadian prairies where the mountains are nowhere to be seen and moose seldom wander this way. My city is the home of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police), but you will not usually see a Mountie in the world famous red uniform while out on patrol.

If you are sending me a card, here's some other post card subjects which I enjoy (a suggestion list, not a requirement by any means):

- Humor/Satire
- Vintage or current Ad's
- Transportation (including road signs and license plates)
- National/Regional/Local Flags and Maps
- Vintage or current pictures of locations/communities
- History

If in doubt, a tourist post card will always be welcome in my mailbox! Oh, and interesting stamps are a wonderful bonus too!

One thing I would like to point out, I participate in postcrossing for casual enjoyment. I find it fun to read a profile and try to send a post card the recipient might enjoy and then write some facts or a short thought on the card. With that said, my goal is to keep this casual and enjoyable, so if you are sending me a card I would request you keep the following in mind: I do not need to know your views on politics, social causes/activism or anything overly religious. To me, I'd like postcrossing to be a brief and friendly interaction with someone I'd otherwise never have the chance to meet.

Thank you for visiting my profile and I'm looking forward to sending and receiving many interesting post cards!

Adam
