About Joanna...

Dear Postcrosser:

My name is Joanna and I'm a Polish girl, currently living in Germany. I am a Spanish Studies graduate student with focus on literature and culture. I work as a Spanish and German teacher.
Nice to meet you!

My hobbies are painting, taking long walks, playing NDS, traveling, plants and seeds, taking photos, reading, and laughing.

When visiting new places, I like to get lost on purpose.
I love the ocean and beautiful beaches and am very curious about volcanos. I am impressed about the very fact that there are shrines on top of Fujisan.
I am interested in forgotten cities or monuments in the nature. Like to think about sunken ships and cities (Atlantis) as well. What about the prediction of the sinking of the Titanic?
I am fascinated about mazes and getting lost in them.
Ah, travel through time is cool, I appreciate moments of ''time-travelling'', some postcard-motifs are able to send you for a moment or two to another space and time.

I appreciate both extremely colorful and black/white photography.
I like to collect cute stuff (Totoro, Doraemon, Moomins, Rilakkuma, Bolek i Lolek), I love old-fashioned things.
I am very interested in art, especially Casper David Friedrich, Hiroshige, Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, George Grosz, Hundertwasser and some expressionists.

The main idea of Postcrossing sounds just fascinating, so I decided to join, too.
Before the discovery of Postcrossing, I truly detested looking into my letter box. It was an almost terrifying feeling to open it, because I supposed there would be a letter dealing with a money matter or other authority office asking for me.
With the passage of time, I connoted the letter box with something negative. But thanks to Postcrossing, I started to run full of happiness to my letter box and jump cheerfully back home - with a lovely postcard in my hand!
Postcrossing gives back the happiness of receiving and sending postcards and letters. So I want to contribute.

As I am new in this, I have no particular preferences regarding the postcards, apart from being handwritten and with an interesting, special, or artistic motif.
Send me whatever you consider beautiful or important to see. I trust your well thought-out decision.
I think I won't like ad cards.

Write me whatever comes in your mind!
Maybe you can tell me a story related to the postcard...or an improvised poem? Or the strange dream you had last night? Tell me whatever you like!
Be creative!

I am looking forward to receive your postcard.

Yours,

Joanna
