About Laura...

I am 41 and live in a quiet village in South Shropshire with my husband and 19 year old cat, Rosie. Our town was founded in the 1200s by Roger Mortimer and later gifted to Robert Dudley by Queen Elizabeth I in the 1600s. There are lots of pretty old houses and ours was built in 1690, so wonky floors and wooden beams!

I am a lifelong vegetarian and love travelling, all things nature (particularly trees) and exploring other cultures. I am happy to receive all postcards, whatever they are and I collect stamps too.

I'm in year 6 of 6 of an Open University degree in Arts and Humanities and it covers a lot of worldwide culture so I'm interested in anything that happens where you are. Your daily routine, festivals, religious practices and hobbies are all interesting topics so feel free to be expressive and a phrase in your native language would be good. Homemade art is welcome too. Send what makes you happy.

Saying all that, if you’re stuck, I really like...

Trees
Architecture, from rambling old houses and museums to national landmarks
Castles
Art, especially medieval, although any period is good
Religious cards from your culture
Your folklore
Vintage on any theme
Social history - people doing ordinary things in your area
Wild and lonely landscapes
Geisha
Stamps
Vegetarian recipes in your country

Thank you for taking the time to send me something :0)
