About Absynthe...
My name is Sanna. I chose that name as a nickname for Sandra (to stop people calling me Sandy). At the time I had no idea that it was a common Finnish name. This is one of many interesting and illuminating things I have learned from Postcrossing!
I'm retired from working as a massage therapist but still work overnight delivering newspapers (please, keep reading newspapers!) I have an elderly cat (Absynthe) and an ancient turtle (Otis) for company. Mysteries are my favourite reading choice (shout out to Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club books which combine both humour and mystery!) I probably watch far too much tv. House Hunters International is fun for seeing snippets of life and architectural details in other countries. For walks, I enjoy the botanical gardens and cemeteries. It wouldn't bother me at all to live beside a graveyard.
In my 'favourites' are cards not yet received. I really look forward to the surprise of your chosen card in my mailbox and to reading your story about yourself/where you live.
A special treat if you happen to have one would be
• something showing the art, architecture, or unique landscapes from your country
• illustrations
• maps
• steampunk
• Blue Cats (Irina Zeniuk), Two Old Ladies (Inge Look)
I collect stamps, so don't be shy to add several if possible. I will also use several old stamps on my cards sent to you.
