About Absynthe...

My name is Sanna. I chose that name as a nickname for Sandra (to stop people calling me Sandy). At the time I had no idea that it was a common Finnish name. This is one of many interesting and illuminating things I have learned from Postcrossing!
I'm retired from working as a massage therapist but still work overnight delivering newspapers (please, keep reading newspapers!) I have an elderly cat (Absynthe) and an ancient turtle (Otis) for company. I enjoy reading humorous books, and mysteries (shout out to Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club books which combine both!) I probably also watch far too much tv, but I tell myself that it is healthy viewing of lots of nature shows and documentaries. I watch House Hunters International more to see the architecture and snippets of life in different countries. For walks, I enjoy the botanical gardens and cemeteries. It wouldn't bother me at all to live beside a graveyard.
My 'favourites' are cards not yet received. I really look forward to the surprise of your chosen card in my mailbox and to reading your story about yourself/where you live.
A special treat if you happen to have one would be
• something showing the art, architecture, or unique landscapes from your country
• illustrations
• maps
• steampunk
• Blue Cats (Irina Zeniuk), Two Old Ladies (Inge Look)
I collect stamps, so don't be shy to add several if possible. I will also use several old stamps on my cards sent to you.
