Hey there! I'm Kimberly. I live in Maryland in the United States. About me:

+I love '80s music and pop culture. I definitely feel as though I was born in the wrong era. From synth-pop to italo disco, I love listening to anything from that innovative era. Some of my favorite artists are New Order, Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths, The Cure, Kraftwerk...so many more to list! I also love '90s alternative rock; The Catherine Wheel was my top Spotify artist for 2022 :-)

+I enjoy reading. I love reading existentialist philosophy, travelogues, memoirs, and random classics. Currently, my favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. What are your favorite books or authors? Let me add some of your favorites to my list!

+I love 35mm film photography. Taking film photos is a hobby I picked up during quarantine. I found my parent's old vintage camera and the rest is history! Film photography has given me a different perspective on how I approach regular everyday activities. I now pay more attention to the small details of everyday life--it's a nice little gift that 2020 gave me.

+I speak Spanish. Mándame una tarjeta postal en español si quieres :)

+I love traveling. I have a strong desire to see new places and meet new people. I lived in Budapest, Hungary for a few months while studying there and it sparked so much adventure and wanderlust for me...now I dream of someday living abroad long-term. Do you have a favorite city to visit, and if so, what makes it special for you?

I treasure every single postcard I receive and like postcards of all kinds. I especially love ones with:

-Cityscapes at night
-Bridges
-Nature: trees, flowers, mushrooms, butterflies, paths
-Iconic/strange buildings and all types of architecture
-Historic locations or monuments
-Surrealist art
-Vintage/retro postcards
-Airplanes
-Public transportation (metro, trams, trains, trolleys, stations)
-Anything photography related
