I am a poet who worked for the post office for 26 years. When I was a child one of my favorite toys was paint chips from the hardware store. Now I like to make collages from paper. I use everything: torn up magazines, used hamburger wrappers, photographs, ticket stubs. Last week I accidentally put a business card through the washing machine, and I used that, too!
I like giraffes and elephants as well as containers with lids or small drawers. I'd be happy to receive cards with collage art, office and art supplies, typefaces, and block prints. Handmade cards would be wonderful, even a postcard made from cardboard packaging. If something looks used (worn, torn, rusty, dusty), it's the card for me!
Surprise me with any postcard. Tell me an interesting detail about yourself or your life or the place you are sitting when you put your message on the card. I like knowing about the moment in which a card is written.
