About 13caroline...

I am a Dutch born girl who has spent all her life in the United States. I am stamp collector, so I hope that you will find one of the nicest your country has to offer to put on the postcard you send to me.

My job is as a librarian, where I catalog material that the library acquires in French, German, and Italian. I have been busy learning Italian and German for my job, and I speak French fluently, having lived in Montpellier, France. I also specialize in working on maps.

When I am not working, I love traveling to new places, gardening, cooking, hiking, socializing with friends, and watching sports.

I hope to receive cards that either show your culture or your place, or that shows a side of you that is unique. ***I will love whatever comes my way.*** Need ideas? January--birthday or something quirky, February--important cultural themes from your country, March--flowers, April--rain, May--buildings, June--nighttime, July--celebrations, August--animals, September--famous people, October--fall colors, November--history, December--winter scenes.

I have decided that my favorite time of the year is the last days of December- first days of January, when I re-read all the postcards that came in that year, remove the lovely stamps, and file the cards away to make room for the next year's batch. Each message is a gem to be cherished.

P.S. special request--if your country has Postcrossing stamps, ice hockey or cycling related stamps--I would greatly appreciate those!
