The Texas Bluebonnet represents only one of the countless wildflowers which have long fascinated Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson. Examples from all fifty states grace her White House china, on view in the Museum. In 1982 she founded the National Wildflower Research Center to promote their economic, environmental and aesthetic use.
