Natural Bridge Canyon, in Death Valley, California. The "bridge" is a stone arch that spans the narrow canyon, and is about 15 meters (50 feet) from the canyon floor to the bottom of the arch. The arch was formed by water flowing through the narrow canyon, which eroded softer rocks below the arch, which is made of stronger rock. I have hiked under this arch: very impressive!! |
