Siberia is one of the few regions of the world where old wooden architecture still exists. The pearl of wooden lace in Tomsk - the mansion of the merchant G.M. Golovanov or "House with a marquee" was built in 1904. In 1993 it was transferred to the Center for German culture and underwent restoration from 1993 to 1995. Now it houses the Tomsk regional Russian-german house. |
