my first ever postcard from Algeria, and therefore outstandingly precious for me. Who happens to know why DZ stands for Algerie?

Hello. DZ symbolises Algeria because it's derived from "Dzayer". It's how we, locals, call our country; and it has Arabic and Berber origins.
