Hi! My name is Yvonne Cheng, and I am a Taiwanese (Taiwan is an island to the South of Japan and to the East of China, though it's still hotly debated whether it's a part of China) girl studying in China at the moment, and right now am applying to colleges in the United States and Canada.
I dream of traveling the world; I hope postcrossing will let me see and know more about different countries in the world before I have a chance to go there myself. When I do travel (and I hope that happens soon) I will take my postcards with me, so please take a few minutes to write down something about your country (the food, special festivals, traditions, etc.)
I prefer postcards with natural scenery or anything that's famous in your country. Postcards showing something about your country's culture is also welcomed (like the carnival). But no pictures of cute animals or self-made photograph postcards please (unless they are a specialty of your country!). On the postcard, please tell me a little about your country, such the weather, popular tourist attractions, authentic food and so on! Tell me about your home town, postcard, weather, your preferences or even just how you spent your day =)
If possible, please include a wise saying of your country (with translation of course!). Maybe you could send me something from your life - bus ticket, candy wrapper, coin or tea bag, or something else) it's so interesting for me!!! =))) I would really appreciate it! Thx!
