About Dominika...

Hello!

To my neighbours in Ukraine, sending my love and support. I wish with all my heart that you and your close ones are healthy and happy. Let us hope that humans gain wisdom enough to end senseless violence and that we all live to see it.

Postcards have always been my 'thing' - I always buy one at the places I visit or request one when a friend goes travelling. My biggest dream is to travel as much as I can afford. From year to year, it's been increasingly harder to incorporate travel into my life, I am trying to reverse that trend. Postcrossing for me is a way to see the world on postcards :)
I live with my SO and our two cats, if you have pets I'd love to hear about them.

I'm a pharmacist, but trying to forge a different path now, not yet sure what the future holds for me. I'm past 30 already, you could say I should know by now, but... here I am :) In my spare time, I tend to read, play video games, do some yoga - I'm not an advanced yogi by any means, but it's helped me tremendously in staying healthy throughout the last couple of years of work from home. I love music, for many years now my favourite is instrumental (classical. soundtracks) music. I am learning the piano, but I'm not consistent enough to be any good at it, and I sing in a choir. I try to go to (filharmonic) concerts at least every 6 months. A highlight of 2022 for me was the London Distant Worlds Coral concert. There is nothing else like music to make you forget about the whole world. I love trekking in the nearby woods and I hope 2023 is the year I go back to climbing, as it was a big part of my free time before I busted my ankle for a few months. To be completely frank, sometimes I feel I'm being pulled in so many directions and so many interests, that I can't properly do a single one. Maybe you can relate?

For your postcard, if you have no idea what to write - maybe something in your language? A few words that tie in with the image on the card. Feel free to tell me about your day, your dream for the future, favourite song or animal, favourite anything, pet peeves.
If your mother tongue is French, feel free to write in it, it'll be a nice exercise for me :D Same if your native is Japanese - I could try to decipher if you included furigana, but I don't want to be bothersome.

As for my favourite types of postcards: fantasy, books, space/stars or travel/scenery.
But I assure you any postcard will be embraced, I'm just saying which ones come to mind when mentioning favourites, in case you have a 1000 cards and want to narrow down the choice.

Best!
Domi
