My name is Henk and I live in a small town named Tiel. My interests are: reading, photographing (Canon EOS 550D), POSTCROSSING, blues blues blues blues and more blues, the 60's, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi.... In daily life I am a principal and a Reiki-seichemmaster (TM).
Tiel is one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands and was founded in the 5th century AC. Originally Tiel was situated on the Linge river.Tiel became an important tradecenter in the Middle Ages and was associated with the Hanseatic League.
The Betuwe is situated between the Waal and Rhine rivers. Tiel the largest town in the Betuwe area, which is famous for being one of te centres of Dutch fruit production. Orchards in the area produce apples, pears, plums and cherries.
Every second Saturday in September we have a festival known as Fruitcorso. In the same weekend we have Appelpop (Applepop) near the Waal, which is the biggest free pop festival of the Netherlands (Europe??).
I'm interested in any postcard you send me, but if you can find cards with bike(s) or a landscape,a city streetscene, art...... or reading people, I prefer such one.
