About Victoria...

Hi,
I am a retired teacher from California. I am originally from San Francisco; I now live in the Central Valley, and love going home to visit whenever I can get away.

I love to read, write, and learn about places from around the globe. If you don't know what to write, how about:

~~Why you chose the card you did.
~~What is your favorite sound, sight, taste?
~~ what do you do to contribute to world peace?
~~ What is the best thing about your hometown or country?

I prefer single view cards. I like photographs more than illustrations, except in cases where there are no photos, such as zombies, and dia de los muertos.

My favorite cards:

~~ Inge Look grannies collection

~~ VIEW THROUGH an open window, door, archway

~~Mother and child or father and child

~~Park Benches

~~Local street or alley scenes

~~Zombies

~~Dia de los Muertos any time of the year

~~ Wet cobblestone or pavement

~~Weather cards such as fog, mist, rain, (no lightning please)

~~ Reflections on water

~~Beautiful night skies; moon, stars,etc

~~Wolves, owls, buffalo, raccoons, or moose. Any wild animal in its natural habitat.

~~Baby animals (possibly with their Mom
this one unwritten in envelope if that is not a bother)

~Fairies(Unwritten in envelope with a note if possible,)

~~Any of those weird Australian animals. Like bandicoots, kookaburra, tasmanian devil etc.

~~ Famous landmarks and local festivals and customs...

~~ Interesting old people

~~ London eye

~~Big Ben

~~ Royal British family especially if it features prince George and Princess Charlotte

~~Ferris Wheels

I welcome whatever postcard you send. And please, if possible, write something on it to explain why you chose it, or its significance to your culture.

Cards I don't like as well:
household pets, cartoons, jokes, or "cute" things, Commercialized Christmas cards. Religious are welcome.

Best regards to all of you great postcrossers. You bring adventure and beauty to my mailbox. So... thanks from me and my mailman.
