About Michael...

My name is Michael and I'm a 22 year old Graduate Student studying at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I'm studying to get my MS in atmospheric sciences. I recently got my Bachelors degree in meteorology at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. My home is in the state of Connecticut in southern New England, which is not too far from New York City.

I enjoy receiving mail from all different places and I'm interested in learning about life in your country. I enjoy weather, running, country music, stamp collecting, traveling, friends, and the outdoors (especially camping, hiking, and skiing). Since I'm a stamp collector, I would be really happy if you could use some nice stamps - the more you use on the card or envelope, the better.

I'd be especially happy to receive cards of weather or storms, pictures of your country, cities, farms, buildings, and landscapes. My only request is that you don't send any 'odd', 'free' or 'ad' cards. This is because I like to see pictures and landmarks of your country. However, you don't necessarily have to send postcards...It would be great to receive an envelope with a letter or note, and possibly a newspaper article. I like to read the weather forecasts in other country's newspapers. It would be awesome if you could can send that.

It might sound strange to you, but you could also send some type of food packaging. Just cut the box into the shape of a postcard and write on the blank side - I think it's cool to see logos of different products in other countries.

I speak English, but I can understand some Spanish. Please feel free to write in your own language.

If you are interested in a stamp exchange, let me know. I'm always looking for new stamp swappers.

Look forward to receiving your mail!!

PS- If you have sent me a card, and it has been traveling for over 50 days, please message me because it shouldn't take that long.
