About Tori...
My name is Tori and I am a high school student from Ohio. I decided to do this because I am fascinated by other cultures. I have always wanted to travel the world. I wish I could personally visit every country.:)
As far as postcards are concerned, all cards are appreciated. I would prefer that they are not ad cards or offensive. Also if you would like to include a coin of small monetary value from your country or a bookmark I would be ecstatic! I collect both bookmarks and world currency.
If you are in the UK and have the limited edition Jane Austen stamps that are currently in circulation, I would LOVE it if you could send one on my postcard. It would be so fantastic!
If you don't know what to send, some things I enjoy are as follows (in no particular order):
-Views of your country
-tourist attractions (monuments, famous places,etc.)
-the Beatles and other classic rock groups
-classic literature (Jane Austen is my favorite!)
-books
-fantasy-related (particularly Harry Potter)
-all things British (London, William and Kate, etc.)
-Disney (especially princesses!)
-Superheroes
-Snoopy/Peanuts
-something that is important to you or your culture (recipes, rituals, animals from your country, etc.)
If you are in Japan and sending a card with writing please translate it for me so I can learn new bits of the language. I have taken four semesters of Japanese language at school, so my skills are still very basic. If there is kanji, please tell me what the symbols mean because I can only read hiragana and katakana. Also, some things from Japan that I like are Hayao Miyazaki movies, samurai, gieshas, Hello Kitty and beautiful sites. Thanks:)
THESE ARE ALL JUST SUGGESTIONS TO GIVE IDEAS. PLEASE DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED IN ANY WAY TO FIND THESE SPECIFIC CARDS! The best part of the postcards for me is the surprise of recieving them.
I apologize for writing so much, so I really hope that you have found this helpful in one way or another.
Peace out and Happy Postcrossing! ;D
