I'm originally from Scotland but think of myself as an internationalist which makes me a fan of Postcrossing.

I used to work in the Merchant Navy and got to enjoy sending postcards. I now work in IT and live in Derby on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It's a great place for walking. I enjoy travelling, like Switzerland, Spain and Italy and really want to explore Norway sometime.

I learnt French at school and have attempted to learn Italian and Spanish in my time. I don't speak any of these languages well but I'd happily attempt to translate your language and could always use http://babelfish.altavista.com/

I like being high up in Mountains and enjoy great views. I enjoy music, gardening, red wine,Real Ale, football and cricket. I'm 53 but not dead yet. I've got 3 grown up children who I'm proud of. One is a teacher, one is an actor and one is travelling in New Zealand just now. I have 1 grandson, Finn who is great.

I like trains and buses and ships and think they'd make great cards but happy to receive whatever card you have. I like art and comedy and am a big fan of Pirates. I'd be happy to hear about your town or maybe something I can look up on the web about you or where you are that I wouldn't come across as a tourist.
