I am an insatiably curious 24-year-old woman. I'm the wife of the love of my life, and a new mother to a beautiful, little baby girl.

I passionately love to read, have more books than I can count, and am still amassing more. I'm very proud of my private little library. : )

I love to climb trees and swim and fly kites and ice skate and stargaze.

I love animals of all shapes and sizes, but some of my absolute favourites are cats (any), butterflies, bats, and octopi. If I've sent you a postcard, you might've noticed that there's a butterfly sticker in the bottom-right corner. Sort of my signature.

I used to sing in a (rather elite) choir (if I do say so myself, lol) and singing is still one of my favourite things to do.

Art is something I love to learn about. Although I have no talent in the subject, it doesn't stop me from enjoying it. I have a good number of books on different movements. I also love history. Especially ancient.

Flowers are something I never get tired of. My favourites are Easter lilies, mountain laurel, azaleas, peach blossom, and pink or yellow roses.

I love antiques and going to antique shops and seeing and touching things that were once someone else's in some distant, forgotten past.

I like to collect maps, foreign money, and notebooks.

I love watching ballet- the movements are just wonderful. My favourite dancer is Adam Cooper. But I, of course, love Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.

Which brings me to my next subject: old movies. I'm a huge fan of old, old movies and I have lots of favourites. Most of them fall before 1950. James Stewart is one of my all-time favourite actors. I also love old westerns, especially spaghetti westerns.

I love music. It's one of the most important things to me. I love artists from almost every genre. As long as the music is free of profanity, which I find annoying, and as long as it gives me some kind of intense (in a good way) emotion, I like it. One of my favorite bands EVER is Muse.

I love to read, but I also like to write. Poetry mostly. But sometimes I'll branch out to short stories and even short play scenes. I also like writing down dreams that I've had.

I would love to travel all over the world to all kinds of places and meet all kinds of people. Languages fascinate me, and so do different cultures. Unfortunately, I have never been outside of the U.S. And I only know English. I blame this on public education. : P

I find solace in nature. Especially the woods. But the ocean, the stars, the clouds, all of these make me feel at home.

One of the most important things I should tell you is that I'm a Christian. I was baptized when I was 14. Most of the time I don't feel like I'm a very good one, but I'm working on that. I suppose it's a constant battle for every Christian.

Anyway, this is some kind of idea of who I am.
