Hello!

I live in the province of Manitoba, in the center of Canada. I live with my husband and son. I work for the government in the department of agriculture and I am a crops disease specialist. It is like being a doctor for plants.

I have many hobbies. I enjoy gardens, especially flowers. I enjoy hiking and bird watching. I like to go camping. I collect teapots and that is where my user name comes from! I enjoy cooking and baking. I have 2 dogs and 3 parrots as pets. I like to do needlework and especially like to make quilts. I enjoy visiting historical sites. Canada is a relatively young country and a few years ago I was able to take a short trip to England. It was amazing to realize that in some of the places I stayed, the houses or hotels I slept in were much older than my country!

I would love to hear something about what your postcard is showing, or about you or what you think about when you look at the postcard you are sending me. Or maybe tell me a bit about your day! Any postcard you would like to send will be fine with me.

If you would like ideas of things I like, it would be nice to have postcards that show something about the landscape or city where you live. Maybe there is a historical site you would like to show me. Some other favourites: anything tea themed (teapots, tea cups etc.), flowers, birds (including farm birds like chickens and ducks), trees, quilts or needlework. Please remember I will be happy with any postcards you choose to send! It will be nice just to get real mail!
