Wow, I have been a PostCrosser for a year now! Thank you everyone for all the wonderful cards! I absolutely love getting postcards in the mail. Somehow, happy mail and colourful postage stamps lessen the effect of bills and junk mail! Yay! The amazing thing that I did not expect was how much I would enjoy picking out, writing and mailing postcards to people I don't know. The act of sending post cards is such a happy change of pace in an otherwise ordinary day.
I learned about PostCrossing through some BookCrossing friends. I love to read, knit, and try to draw and paint sometimes, ... but mostly I am a mom to one daughter and 3 cats.
This seems like a very good way to learn about other places. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and don't get to travel nearly as much as I would like to. If you are wondering what to write on your card, tell me about your country. I saw on another person's profile, a suggestion that I like very much. (I don't remember who's profile it was though) Anyway, the suggestion was to write about something that was making news headlines on that day. I think it will be very interesting to have a collection of cards and news headlines from around the world.
I am interested in all kinds of cards,especially ones with people, animals, a beautiful places on them. I would LOVE to collect postcards with BEES, KNITTING, COFFEE, BUILDINGS WITH ARCHES and AMUSEMENT PARKS & RIDES, themes. Surprise me. I am sure if you like it, I will like it too!
