I love receiving (and sending) handmade postcards. But anything quirky or beautiful (whether you made it or not) or that depicts your area is fine.

* how to make a yummy vegetable dish that is native to your area (i don't cook but my husband does!)
* your favorite names (what you're thinking of naming your kids or have already named them, maybe?)

* your favorite poem or song lyrics in your first language
* the story of the most terrifying thing that ever happened to you
