I used to postcross a lot a few years ago but I quit doing it for personal reasons. Now - I really miss it - I just loved getting postcards from random places - near or far!
I definitely prefer storebought cards, particularly those that show something your place is famous for.
Things I'd like to receive:
Map Cards
Moomin
Kaj Stenvall
Illustrations from famous books
Brothers Grimm / other folktales illustrations
cityviews
statecards from US - maps / capitols / facts / buildings etc
Something showing off specific culture of where card has been sent from (folkmusic, dresses, native languages,food. music, art etc)
nature views - mountains, beaches, forests, volcanoes, waterfalls etc
I'd prefer not to receive:
Ad/free cards
Movie cards (aka LOTR, Harry Potter) unless they are for some old vintage film
Black and White cards
Housepets - dogs, kittens, horses etc.
I also really like real stamps, as these are little artworks in themselves and show as much about the country of origin than a postcard!
but I'll be glad for any card receieved :)
