About Erin...
Hello! I am Erin, 32, social worker in Brooklyn, New York USA. I work 2 jobs, one with the elderly and one with the court system. I like both jobs but I work too much.
I believe in treating people with kindness and respect. We are all basically the same deep down, regardless where we are from. Postcrossing reminds me of that every day. I believe in building my community and taking care of each other. I love plants and my home is full of them. I wish so much I had a garden.
I love postcards AND stamps. They are a unique reflection of your culture. I love to travel and meet new people and learn about other cultures.
My favorite place to spend time is the beach. In the summer, I go to the beach almost every day (after work of course- it's 15 minutes from my house). I also go to the beach in the winter, even when it's cold. It is where I feel most peaceful. Unfortunately my beach was recently destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and so I haven't been to the beach since then. :(
My favorite cards:
*trees
*plants, gardens
*bathrooms/ toilets/outhouses
*beaches
*bridges
*wild weather
*black and white cards
*signs- street, traffic, advertisement, etc
*living situations
*Narrow streets, paths, stairs & old cobbled streets
*Beautiful & lovely or old & broken walls, doors & windows
*Graffiti or street art
*regular people (old/young/women/men/just faces, especially with black and white people together)

If you don't know what to write, tell me your wish or your dream or your favorite quote or whatever you love!
THANK YOU!!! I am so happy to receive your card and will be happy to receive whatever you send!
IMPORTANT!!!!- recently I have received several cards that have taken a really long time to reach me. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU WRITE MY ADDRESS EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS- PLEASE KEEP EACH LINE SEPARATE. If you change the lines, it will take much longer to reach me.
Homemade cards are great! When someone takes the time to make a card, I am honored and appreciative. I don't understand why people say they don't want homemade cards! I love them! Tell me what the card is about and why you made it, what does it mean to you? How did you make it?
Please no envelopes. I love the cards with stamps and the evidence of the travel. It's part of the beauty of the card.
Please no multi-view cards, they are hard to see
Good luck and happy postcrossing!
