About Teri...

Hi,
My name is Teri. My husband, Randy and I live in Oregon, which is in the northwest part of the USA. We have a grown daughter (Amber) and she has given us three grandsons (ages 15, 14, and 12). They live with us. We love animals and have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 5 peacocks, 2 turkeys, and about 45 chickens!

From 2012-2017, we were "Host Parents" to international exchange students. Each school year, we hosted two students. We think of them as our children. We have hosted 10 girls. Our daughters from around the world are: Monica from China, Samantha "Sam" from Mexico, Mathurada "Palm" from Thailand, Linh from Vietnam, Julia from Brazil, Andrea "Andy" from Taiwan. Melinda "Lindy" from Switzerland (She was born in Germany and is of German/Dutch descent, but lives in Switzerland), Benya "Bea" from Thailand, Anna from Germany, and Jenny from South Korea. Being a Host Parent was really been a blessing. It gave us the opportunity to experience many different cultures without leaving our home. Now we are hosting our three grandsons :) and that has been very fun and rewarding.

What kind of postcards do I like? Here are some ideas of the types of cards that I like the most:

-> Cute pictures of Cats, Dogs, or other cute animals...I
prefer the soft, furry type...it can be a photo, a
drawing, or cartoon, it does not matter. :)
-> Angels! I love angels...paintings, drawings, statues,
cartoons,etc. I love them all.
-> Inspirational cards (can be Christian scripture, famous
sayings, or other inspirational words).
-> Recipes - I love trying different foods, so a recipe from your
country would be great!
-> Scenes from your city or country, like a favorite tourist
spots (nature scenes, cities, famous buildings, etc).
-> A Famous Person from your country. Please tell me who
the person is and what they are famous for. :)
-> Holiday cards from your country. These are so much fun! I love
holiday cards! :)

...If you do not have any of these, then send me something you would like to receive! I share my cards with my family, so, please, send cards that are appropriate for all ages (no nudity).

What should you write?
-> Tell me about yourself! I would love to hear about you
and your family. How old are you? Are you married? Do you have
children (grandchildren), pets?
-> Your hobbies? Do you like to paint? Draw? Knit? Collect coins?
-> Your favorite quote or scripture?
-> Your favorite book, author or movie?
-> I also love recipes! And I enjoy cooking all different
types of food. So, if you have a favorite recipe you
would like to share with me, that would be great.

I will register your card as soon as I receive it. Please make sure to write the Postcard ID on the card!

Thank you and Happy Postcrossing! :) Teri
