Hello postcrosser!

I'm Rose, 31, and I live in The Netherlands, in a village near Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport.

I travel to Amsterdam every day, because I work there as a lecturer (teacher) at a University of Applied Sciences, where we train students to work as an editor for all kinds of media.

Next to my job, I am also studying for a masters degree on the subject of Higher Education. That takes a lot of time, but is very interesting and rewarding.

When there's some time left, I love to read, mostly crime. I read quite a lot and also write reviews for a big Dutch crime website.
Apart from reading, I like to watch series on DVD, like CSI or Without a trace.

I also love travelling, oldtimer cars and photography, especially landscapes and portraits. I've been lucky enough to have seen quite some countries already (UK, USA, Cuba, Egypt, Germany,Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Greece) and I'd love to go to so many more places!

I like postcrossing because I enjoy the feeling of being in touch with people around the world. I welcome every postcard, but I'd very much enjoy:
- cards of book covers (please tell me what the book is about!)
- pictures of your (local) university
- something to do with road trips
- map cards
- old advertisements / old commercial signs or plates
- nice portraits of people
- pics of oldtimer cars
- USA license plate cards (would be great, I collect plates of the states I visited as well)
- pics of specific landmarks of where you live, since I'd like to get to know so many more places
