About Rev....

I am no longer active. I met got married in December and I have relocated to Northern/Central California. With the economy the way it is, even this little pleasure is no longer within my grasp. Thank you to everyone that exchanged postcards.

Former military brat that has spent 9 years in Germany. Traveled to Paris, Moscow, Novgorod, Leningrad (Now, St. Petersburg,) Rhine River Valley, through about 30 of the United States. No longer really able to afford to travel. Always been a collector of postcards in my travels. Now, I do my traveling through the post or by venturing into ethnic restaurants. The world has changed so much since I have traveled to another country. The Berlin wall collapsed, Mother Russia has been inherited and divided by her babies, and it is possible to revisit the places I have lived or explored through Google Earth and see all of the changes without the tourist traps, terrorist threats, or paying for my luggage. One thing that I have come to realize is that people are fundamentally the same everywhere. If we get cut, we bleed. We may have different political beliefs, priorities, or means that we take to ensure our daily survival, but everyone tends to kind and caring, especially on a one on one basis. Granted there are good and bad people everywhere, and everyone has a bad day sometimes. But if we would spend more time getting to know one another instead of putting them into pigeon holes and stereotypes, or wasting so much time being afraid of our own shadows, the world would be a better place. I believe that power, corruption, government, and corporations are the greatest evils of our world and have caused the senseless slaughter of many. Don't believe the propaganda that the media feeds us, find out the truth for yourself. If we could set aside our differences and celebrate our commonalities and work together for once, the world could be a much better place.
As for postcards, I like all kinds. Art, landscapes, pop art, photography, collectibles, scenics, buildings, portraits, comics, cartoon, funny, naughty, nice, cute, handmade, knitted Celtic knots, original watercolors, anything original.
I typically buy lots of local postcards in bulk and collections. I often buy two of something collectible and save one in mint condition and split up the second. Currently, I am sending out DC Comic, Pixar, Toy Story, or Star Wars Comic Postcards that are especially unique. I also occasional have been known to send handmade knitted cards, as I also knit myself. If I have something that is a preference, then I will try to accommodate you. Otherwise, I try to find something special and appropriate for everyone. If you are interested in a one for one swap, please let me know. I enjoy stamps as much as the postcards themselves, so I abhor postage meters. I also often send out postcards with one or two extra small stamps on them just for fun. Happy crossings.
