About Mariah...
I first heard about Postcrossing on Wish Upon a Hero, another site in which I participate. I'm also on Tree of Wishes.

-cats
-wolves
-tigers
-owls
-nuthatches (which is a type of bird)
-ducks
-horses
-hamsters doing ridiculous things
-the kind of aquariums where people can walk underneath through a tunnel
*ladybugs
*Christian verses
*Disney characters
-Donald Duck
-Uncle Scrooge
-Tinkerbell
*Miss Piggy of the Muppets
*Lucy or Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strip
*Lucille Ball ("I Love Lucy" TV show)
*Zorro
*Cary Grant (old-time American movie star)
*science fiction or fantasy themes (Geeky-ness is greatness!)
-Star Trek
-Star Wars
-Stargate
-Firefly/Serenity
-Twilight
-Lord of the Rings
-Chronicles of Narnia
-Wonder Woman
-Battlestar Galactica
-Harry Potter (especially Snape and Hermione)
*ceiling art
*nesting dolls (also called stacking dolls, Matryoshka Dolls, Babushka Dolls; these are the wooden dolls that fit inside each other)
*rainbows
*waterfalls, especially Niagara Falls lit up at night
*black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta, a type of flower)
*most humorous cards
I would really prefer NOT to receive any crude humor, swearing, nudity, spiders, skulls, bats, horror, grotesque or Halloween-type cards. Thank you.
These 3 postcards, which I've added to my favorites, will tell you a little about my sense of humor:
*a cat about to push the button on a blender full of goldfish,
*a bunch of skinny little boys enthusiastically imitating a posing bodybuilder,
*and a posse of stuffed animals who have tied a teddy bear to a post.
What can I say, they made me laugh.
It would also be interesting to see pictures of places near you, whether they be nature scenes or cities. Pretty much any postcard that you want to send is fine; I will be happy and grateful for whatever I receive. I'd prefer to have a message of some type from you written on it rather than having it blank. Thank you in advance.
If you need ideas for what to write, how about a favorite Bible verse, a favorite quote, info about the place that's on the postcard picture (I love learning new things, and I hardly travel at all), a book or movie recommendation, a favorite recipe, a sentence in your non-English language with accompanying English translation, a website for where you go to school or live or just a website that you like, something about yourself (what you do for a living, what your major is if you're in college, what types of pets you have, what your hobbies are, etc.), or whatever interests you.
A little more about me: I am a Jesus freak, bibliophile, movie-lover, wife, and college student. All of my 6 "kids" have fur.
