About Emilija...

Hi, everybody!

I am 18 year old student from Lithuanian port-town Klaipeda but on September 1st I am moving to Šiauliai to study at International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. So I'm gonna be a seriuous student dreaming about Glaciology studies at university somewhere in Scandinavia :)

I love to busy all the time and try different things so I decided to try postcrossing too :) I enjoy the occasional serious conversation but also love being a total nutcase! I like learning languages, traveling, read books , listen music (I love The Beatles, Placebo, various Scandinavian folk and rock bands, my fave are The Ark, WigWam, Sigur Ros)and running barefoot in the rain and daydream when lying in the field watching the clouds.

I am deeply interested in different countries, cultures and attitudes so I would be extremely happy to receive a postcard that would somehow express that. It would be great if you could write something in your native language. Pictures of your hometown are welcome. (especially showing squares or alleys)

I am a bit crazy about the North, Arctic, Antarctic and similar stuff so if you're sending me a postcard from Scandinavian or other Nordic country, keep that in mind - snowy or mountainous sceneries with or without polar bears are perfect for me x) I adore Aurora views. By the way, reindeers and penguins always make me smile.
To all the Finns: Moomin motives are always welcome! Pettson & Findus too (I think they're Swedish) :) I also like funny ones like this one (I still don't have it) http://static2.postcrossing.com/postcard/medium/a6a4ee554332f7e2483aba4c95a19e3c.jpg

If you know a nice quote or wisdom please tell me! At least it would be great if you could leave a bit more than “Many greetings from...”. Versify a silly poem, tell me about your socks or what you would do if you could do magic, draw a charming self-portrait or something else! If you don´t know what to write to me, just tell me what makes you happy or why did you pick exactly that card! (I like cards with a story)Please notice that any card is welcome and I like surprises in life.

Anyway, anything sent to me with good intentions and wide smile will be deeply appreciated.
I am always looking for a new pen pal from all over the world so if you want to have one from Lithuania, just let me know :)

Thanks in advance :)
And thanks for reading it till the end (if you did)
Happy postcrossing.

P.S. I don't have scanner nor camera right now so if you could upload the picture of the card you are going to send me it would be great :)
