About Jonas...

Hi postcrossing-friend !

I am Jonas, 31 years old and I live in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
I study Finnish Studies (language and literature) at the University of Vienna- it is a great place to live and to study!
Beside my study, I am a editor/journalist for three German stamp magazines, a work which I like very much.
Furthermore I am the youngest member of Austrian and German Philatelic Association, and proud part of Finnish Postcrossing Friends / Suomen postcrossingyhdistys since 2018

March/April 2022 I worked for the Finnish Postmuseum at Tampere!

Originally I come from southernmost area of Germany, the Allgäu-
a region which is famous for cheese, mountains and Neuschwanstein Castle.
My birthplace Kempten, is really the oldest town of Germany, because Romans and Celts lived here for a period of time.
Here you can see Kempten:

I am a curious person, who likes interesting facts about your country, city or landscape.
I have one problem: I am very crazy about stamps for many years. Collect them since my early childhood. Stamps and postcards are so wonderful: I can learn something about your country in a very comfortable way and than it is in my brain! Really!

Crazy, unusual or commemorative stamps are awesome for postage :)

P.S. Are you another stamp collector ?
I make direct swaps with other collectors.
→ For your interest: I never cut out the stamps on the card because I keep them complete! You can make me happy sending some stamps (used or mint) from your country which are not necessary for you!

Cards:

I like everything what you find which is typical for your country or city :)

Always favourite of mine are 'Greetings from....'', "Happy Postcrossing from...", "Maps of the world", "Flags of the world" etc.

My other favorites:
✗ History and Politics
✗ Postcrossing-Meetingcards
✗ Vintage Travel Poster
✗ Finland (kirjoita suomeksi, jos olet suomalainen. :D)
✗ Television and Radio (typical broadcasts, TV-towers etc.)
✗ Sesame Street (Grover and Elmo) and Eurovision Song Contest
✗ Modern Art (esp. Hundertwasser, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Picasso etc.)
✗ Olympic Games (Summer or Winter), Stadiums
✗ Electronic Music (Techno, Trance)

And don't forget: Postcrossing is for fun! :)
My list is not a must-have!
I always look forward to opening my letterbox and finding your card!

Thank you! Merci! Kiitos! Danke!
Happy Postcrossing from Vienna!
Yours, Jonas ☺
