We're a young (Johanna 22 years, Sakari 23 years), engaged couple with a baby boy Jousia :) living in a suburb in the second biggest urban area of Finland. She studies social services in the polytechnic and he local public law in the university. At the moment she's on maternity allowance and he's doing his obligatory civilian service at the regional environment centre. We love to travel, both within Finnish borders and abroad – mainly on rails, because that's ecological.
Finland might already be familiar to you, as we Finns are the biggest postcrosser group, but our hometown Tammerfors (Tampere) is a nice middle-sized (pop. 200.000+ and growing) inland city situated between two bigger lakes. It is also the home for the world-famous Nokia mobile phones, and the neighbouring town actually is named Nokia (the town was before the phones :).
We would be glad to have artistic black and white photo cards, cards with public transport (trains, trams, metros, buses) of your place and architecture of your place. It would also be wonderful to get cards with Alphonse Mucha's art or some other art nouveau / jugendstil cards. If you live in a former socialist state (such as ex-GDR or ex-USSR), it'd be fun if you sent us "ostalgy" cards from communist era.
If you can choose, please don't send us a typical "tourist card"! ;)
