About Emily...

Hello everyone, fellow Postcrossers!
Kia Ora from Aotearoa.

I live in Hamilton, my home town. Being New Zealand's largest inland city, situated on the banks of the Waikato River, (the country's longest river) Hamilton has a welcoming spirit, rich history and contrasting splendours that await many a visitor.

At the moment I am unable to travel abroad let alone a lot in my own country so I really love the idea of seeing the world through postcards, just a glimpse and a snippet of information really is so insightful. And I love receiving mail!

Write as much or as little as you like! You may want to write a little about your city, town, or country on the postcard or even just a fact about whatever is in the photo. I feel, for example, 'Hello/Greetings from ……’ in your own language/greeting or countries name or even 'Happy Postcrossing’ is far better than a blank postcard. A song or phrase/proverb in your language is welcome also. Your favourite recipe or skin care tip is also welcome. Anything you want!

I love tourist/view postcards. Landscapes, city views, landmarks, monuments/statues, historic buildings, cottages, manors, estates, theatres, cathedrals, castles and architecture, just to name a few. I love anything to do with nature, flowers, trees, waterfalls, sea/lakes and gardens also. I do love tea, so teacups/teapots/tea parties and vintage settings or tea/table settings are very very appreciated. I love stamps too, I don’t collect them but I enjoy seeing beautiful/unusual ones.

You may want take a look at my 'Favourites' on my 'Postcards Wall' for more ideas. But anything at all to do with your country, city, town or culture will be very much appreciated, so take your pick and don't fret if you feel your postcard is not one of my suggested types, I will love it!

Lastly, I would really really appreciate if the postcard is stamped, written and has a postmark. At the moment I would prefer not to receive advertisement postcards, cartoon, handmade/self-made postcards, greeting cards or holiday cards/postcards or postcards in an envelope as I would really love the postcard to have a stamp and postmark on it.

Thank you to everyone who takes their time to register the postcards they receive from me, I really really appreciate it!

Thank you for taking your time to read this please understand these are definitely suggestions and not demands feel free to do what you like! Happy Postcrossing!
