About Elena...

Hello everybody.

I'm 37 years old, live in Moscow, Russia. I enjoy music (mostly world and ethnic), languages, especially spoken, and traveling, although I don't travel quite often.

Our local postal service doesn't work properly all the time. When my card doesn't arrive within a month, I send another one and, maybe, one more before it expires. I always register the received cards immediately. I prefer written and stamped cards, but if you send them envelopped, I won't mind.

Any postcards you send me are surely welcome, but most of all I'd be glad to receive the cards referring to:

- history and cultural heritage
- national costumes, habits and ways
- music
- everyday life
- politics
- portraits
- 20th century
- 18th century
- Napoleonic wars
- arts and crafts
- books, texts, alphabets, maps and plans
- the sea
- vintage cards.

Si Ud. es de Argentina o Uruguay, me encantaría recibir cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con la historia de su país: un retrato de algún heroe, político o artista, una reproducción de pintura antigua o moderna etc.

I'm really not a fan of "cuties", such as cubs, babies, hearts and pink stuff. I also don't much like the standard touristical views of the place: if there's something special for you in this very street or house, please tell me. Promo cards can be amazing, especially those of the exibitions, concerts etc, or can be not, it depends. I prefer "unusual" postcards, whatever it means: a piece of beauty, a bit of personal attitude.

Please feel free to write in your native language; even if I never learned it, I would love to "descifrate" a new tongue. Since you write in Latin, Cyrillic, Greek or Armenian letters, I'll read them; otherwise - well, I'll ask for help, but anyway I'm happy dealing with new and strange languages.

If you want to receive a postcard back as a direct swap, please provide your address.

Happy postcrossing!
