About Pollyane...

Hey, I'm Polly and I'm 20 years old.
I live in Rio, it's a beautiful city, but unfortunately, I've always liked cold weather so I've never enjoyed the climate of Brazil.

Likes: Walking in the sun on a cold day; waking up early on weekends and having breakfast at the kitchen's table; Coffee; Drawing (Actually, I can't draw but I really try); Travelling and listening to music at the same time, walking and listening to music at the same time, sitting and listening to music at the same time; My mom and her birds; My dad and his uncontrollable urge to fix everything; This limited freedom; Old stuff; My real friends; Manga - Japan; Movies, cinema; Scars; Quiet children; Characters that don't exist.

Dislikes: Delays (Especially, when I'm the one who is late); Misunderstandings; unsynchronized subtitles; My terrible English; People that I don't know staring at me; This limited freedom; Physical pain provoked by any stupid idea; Bad grades after a major effort; Hot weather.

Here are some ideas for postcards you might want to pick for me:
- Artistic photography; colorful windows and/or doors; black-and-white photos; funny/unusual/strange/eccentric cards; manga - If you are from Japan, could you please look for a Nodame Cantabile postcard or any by Inoue Takehiko? I just love Nodame and Vagabond!:); I'm crazy about MOVIES; Doctor Who!; Red Hot Chili Peppers; Harry Potter; Misfits (The Series, not the band); If you are from Finland, I would like to receive Kaj Stenvall postcards - if possible; Please, NO multipleviews - for example : http://bit.ly/qx413r - I can't focus on 24969846 pictures at the same time, sorry; Most of postcrossers don't like homemade cards, but I really enjoy the idea of a person making a card, even if it's REALLY simple, it makes the postcard special and unique (but, of course that you have to be a little bit wise at making it.); vintage postcards; whatever you feel passionate about. You can also check my 'favorites' to see the types of cards that I like.

It would be great if you put on the card:
- Write a secret (Come on, you'll never meet me.)
- Write your favorite quote (by a movie, a book, a song, a remarkable philosopher, your grandfather, etc.)
- Draw (if you can, or if you think you can) the place where you are at the moment, or something that is important to you - for example: your cat, your bicycle, that cup of coffee that you and an unique person shared in a cold day of winter, your mother's cat;

Of course you don't need to do all these things. Just one is good, or if you prefer, none.
I just think it's beautiful when people share the components that have built their characters. Don't you think?

Make it worth.

P.S.: When I send my postcards I usually put them in an envelope because I think the card reaches the receiver more preserved in that way.So If you didn't put on your profile that you want to receive just the postcard and NO envelope, probably I'll send a sealed envelope for you. (Apologies in advance)
