About Ola...
Hello world! :)
My name is Ola and I'm a student at the University of Technology in Gdańsk. Olsztyn (the city in a address) is my home-city.
I'm the kind of person who cannot imagine their lives without people. I like being among my family and my dearest friends, chatting and smiling at each other, especially while celebrating some important events.
Also, I enjoy trying new things, no matter how silly they seem to be in the beginning, most often they end as those greatest experiences in my life! :) I do lots of unusual things, writing postcards to people all over the world is one of them, huh? :) Doing crafts, sewing, hand-embroidering, reading books, going for a walk with my boyfriend or riding a bike with friends is the order of a pleasant day off. I'm a keen traveller that likes to go sightseeing places that are not described in guides, too!
I like cooking! With my boyfriend Mateusz every Tuesday we're preparing a dinner that's celebrated in a special way. During the whole week we plan what we'd like to try, most often it turns out we spend the whole afternoon in the kitchen, and we both admire the day so much! Did you know that in Poland there were The Thursday Dinners held by the last King of Poland (Stanislaus Augustus Poniatowski) when great Polish intellectuals could discuss literature, art and politics, while eating? We need to cultivate the culture! ;)
Also, I'm well-known for my passion for tea. Whatever place I visit, I'm always trying to get a new type or taste of tea from there! :)
If you're wondering what postcard you could send to me, I'd like to receive a postcard with a view of your city or pictures showing your national cusine, traditions, people. I'm also a 50' fashion freak - I love all those retro dresses! Now you can imagine what I wear every day ;)
But what's more important for me is WHAT you write on the postcard. Please, tell me:
- what inspires you,
- what your life motto is,
- what unusual things you do - probably they could inspire me to do something similar?,
- what makes you happy in the morning,
- what you are doing now or are going to do soon,
- what your daily routine is - it could be interesting to see what people in other countries do throughout the day!,
- what makes your country and your culture different from all around you,
- maybe also some recipes worth trying? :)
And - if possible - please, enclose:
- a coin or a banknote (of a smallest value :) from your country,
- a piece of newspaper written in your language? :)
I'd really appreciate that, envelopes filled with as many things connected with your country are always welcome! :) I hope I'll be able to send to you something from Poland too! :)
I can't wait to your postcard! :)
