About Erin...
I am 32 years old. I attended medical school until I got pregnant with my first son in 2004. Now I take care of my two boys, ages 5 and 7, and also work as a medical transcriptionist for a psychiatrist. My husband is a Biomedical Equipment Repairer. We have been married since 2003. He served in the Army until 2009. I miss being a military family and am very patriotic. I have lived in Maine nearly my whole life but have been living in beautiful southwestern Florida since 2008. I love it down here but miss seeing snow, especially on Christmas.
My hobbies are crafts (knitting, sewing, cross-stitch, paper crafts, etc.), reading, geocashing, playing games, swimming, and collecting. I collect stamps, postcards, coins, pressed pennies, kawaii stationary, pathtags, trading cards, and used phone cards. I also would love to receive a brochure, magazine page, etc. in any language. I love to swap and I am an active member on swap-bot.com. I am currently looking for a few women penpals (especially from Japan, China, Taiwan and South Korea). If you think we have a lot in common, send me a message or include a letter with your postcard. I will reply. :)
I only collect new, store-bought postcards, and the bigger the better! My favorite types of postcards are:
- Lenticular (3D)
- Diecut/shaped!
- Whole country/island maps with cities marked
- Large city views
- Thomas Kinkade
- Geisha/maiko
- Hello Kitty/Sanrio
- Kawaii smiling food!
- Disneyland
- Capitol buildings
- Cathedrals/mosques/temples
- Castles
- Lighthouses
- Bridges
- Famous landmarks
- Fairmail
- Photo postcards of cupcakes, candy and ice cream!
- Atelier Nouvelles Images
- Modern Stamp image (especially showing the whole stamp sheet)
- Maximum postcard with matching stamp
- Competitive swimming (I did this for 10 years and love the sport very much!)
If you do not have anything from this list, then send me the most beautiful postcard that you can find. :) I love color! But PLEASE *no* (even of my favorites) old/vintage looking, Black & White, USA, strange, or handmade postcards. Thank you. :) I send postcards according to the person-I've-been-assigned-to's likes. I hope you will give me the same respect when sending me a card. Nobody likes to receive something they hate. If possible, please send the postcard unwritten & in an envelope. I do not like the destroyed look that they arrive in when mailed "naked". Plus, I like to save the stamps from the envelope separately. But if it costs more for you, written & stamped is fine. You can tell me about the photo on the postcard and put nice sticker(s) on it, if possible. :)
