About Erin...

I am 30 years old. I attended medical school until I got pregnant with my first son in 2004. Now I stay at home and take care of my two boys, ages 3 and 5. I plan to finish my medical degree once both my boys are in school. I also work part-time as a medical transcriptionist for a psychiatrist. My husband is a Biomedical Equipment Repairer. We have been married since April 2003. He served in the Army until May 2009. I really miss being a military family and am very patriotic. I have lived in Maine nearly my whole life but have been living in beautiful southwestern Florida since October 2008. I love it down here but miss seeing snow, especially on Christmas.

My hobbies are crafts (knitting, sewing, cross-stitch, paper crafts, etc.), reading, playing video games, swimming, and collecting. I collect pressed coins, stamps, postcards, kawaii, stickers, trading cards, and used phone cards. I also would love to receive a brochure, magazine page, etc. in any language. I love to swap and I am an active member on swap-bot.com. I am currently looking for a few penpals (especially from Japan and South Korea). If you think we have a lot in common, send me a message or include a letter with your postcard. I will reply. :)

I only collect new, store-bought postcards, and the bigger the better! My favorite types of postcards are:
- Map cards showing the whole country with cities marked
- Large city views
- Geisha/maiko
- Hello Kitty
- Kawaii smiling food!
- Disneyland
- Waterfalls
- Fountains
- Capitol buildings
- Temples/cathedrals
- Castles
- Lighthouses
- Bridges
- Famous landmarks
- Fairmail (www.fairmail.info)
- Photo postcards of cupcakes, candy and ice cream
- Atelier Nouvelles Images
- Stamp image postcards
- ANY Competitive swimming (I did this for 10 years and love the sport very much!)

I do NOT like most postcards of animals (except kittens), people (except Japanese women), or art (other than Disney/Kawaii). **NO OLD/VINTAGE (even of my favorites), B&W, AD/FREE or HANDMADE postcards, PLEASE!** I send postcards according to the person-I've-been-assigned-to's likes. I hope you will give me the same respect when sending me a card. Nobody likes to receive something they hate. Also, please send the postcard unwritten & in an envelope, if possible. I do not like the destroyed look that they arrive in when mailed "naked". Plus, I like to save the stamps from the envelope separately. But if it costs more & you must send it written & stamped, please tell me about the photo on the postcard and put nice sticker(s) on it, if possible. :)

**Please use real stamps**

Here are the postcards I would love to receive most of all: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24730273@N03/favorites/ AND http://www.postcrossing.com/user/paflip25/gallery/favourites

So far, I have sent 3 postcards that were never marked received by the recipients (expired) and have 4 traveling to Finland, Germany, Brazil, and Russia). :)
