About Elizabeth...

Currently, I'm a research scientist in Providence, RI. I am particularly interested by the outdoors, history, cooking, gardening, and art (in addition to my wicked obsession with science).

*Edit*: (since a few people have asked) My profile picture is my cat. His name is Mister Bojangles. I adopted him from a rescue organization.

Receiving cards: I'm not very picky, and I have very eclectic tastes. I would rather have you choose a card that YOU like. If you love to cook, I'd love to hear some of the things you like to make, particularly if they are unique to where you live. I do some historical recreation, so I'm also fascinated with the history of your corner of the world. I'm a ravenous reader, music lover, and film buff, so I always appreciate suggestions on what I should delve into next.

Sending cards: Rather than try to explain this on every card I send, I'll mention it here. A friend of a friend was cleaning out a very large old house and attached barn after someone in their family passed away and came upon a large shoebox full of old postcard from all over the world. I was lucky enough to be given a whole bunch of them, and that's what got me into postcrossing. I have been adding new cards into the supply as well, but the vast majority of my cards are from that box from the barn. I think the idea is cool enough to make up for the somewhat dated nature of some of the cards.
