About Melis...
Last update: 24.08.2011
Hey i'm Melis, 17, from İstanbul, Turkey. I really like learning about different cultures and traditional stuff. I'm fond of nature and pastoral lifestyle. You know, like mountainous regions, cows, the Alps, etc. Moreover, i love old towns.
My hobbies are reading, listening to music (http://www.lastfm.com.tr/user/Melis00), hiking and travelling. I'd like to backpack around the world someday. One of my biggest dreams is visiting Austria, Switzerland and Munich and Allgäu region, hiking the Alps and wearing dirndl :).
I'd also like to visit countries under the influence of Buddhist culture, such as Thailand. I like those Buddhist temples and statues being so colourful and fancy :)

The kinds of postcards i like most are landscapes, mountains, forests, rain, *famous landmarks*, Buddhist temples, texture and frescoes, *architecture*, castles, city views, UNESCO WH sites, map cards, anything related with traditions, buddhism and hinduism, gothic cathedrals, deserts and chocolate! :D.
I'd be appreciated if the landscapes are greeny, not snowy or desert-like.
I love the cards which show cosy, green villages with local people. From Switzerland, for example, a landscape card with a man playing Alpine horn would be great! :)
I don't prefer postcards where i can find everywhere; like cats, dogs, fruits, etc. I love things more traditional.

I'm interested in snail mail and exchanging other things such as teabags, coasters with drink ads on them, bookmarks, etc. If you also would like to exchange such things, just contact :)

>Postcrossers from Hong Kong; i wonder the Big Buddha so much ^^
>I'd be appreciated to be sent a card with general view of Neuschwanstein from Germany, like this one http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/DE-945289 :)
>>> I'd be so glad if you write an explanation or a trivia about the card or your country! :)
One last wish; please send the postcards in an envelope; i fear that they might get lost :/
Happy Postcrossing!
