I love collecting postcards of castles, cathedrals and other interesting architecture, particularly from the capital cities (of a state/province/country).

If you live in the US, would you send me a postcard of your state capitol?

My home is now Phoenix, Arizona, in the Southwestern corner of the US. Summer temperatures here routinely rise above 110ºF/43ºC. The stark and dramatic desert scenery however, is simply spectacular.

I work as financial manager for an insurance company. I love books, movies, travelling, hiking, etc. I'm a big travel buff and have been to more than 50 countries in the world. (Was it W Somerset Maughm who said that he was "of a roving disposition"?)

Trips planned for 2012 include:
*Portugal (March);
•Italy, Croatia, Greece (June);
*Sri Lanka, Thailand (September);
*Caribbean: Puerto Rico, Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, Sint Maarten(November)

Please tell me something about you or your city/country. If you write something in your native language (with translation) that'd be really nice.

And of course if you prefer, you can always write in French or Italian or Danish or Spanish. (I can also understand some Dutch and German even though I don't speak them.)

I always register your card the day I receive it (except when I'm away on business or on vacation). I look at it as my responsibility to you and Postcrossing.
