About Sheila...
I love travel, learning about other countries, their cultures, history, everyday life. I love learning about people. I can't imagine being without a book to read. I enjoy gardening, good food, photography. Now that I have more time, I'm trying to go back to drawing and some crochet work.
I will be delighted with ANY card at all you care to send me if it's something you yourself love (and tell me why), but if you want some suggestions, here they are:
*Maps of any sort.
*Markets with stalls/people selling anything.
*Medieval castles/fortresses or anything stone built and ancient.
*Street scenes.
*Traditional houses - interior (kitchens in particular) or exterior.
*Rural scenes - woodland/pastures/farms.
*Poppies
*Stained glass windows.
*Libraries and books.
*People reading, especially children.
*Traditional occupations or crafts.
*Everyday life
*UNESCO World Heritage Sites (tell me if it is, sometimes I miss them)
*Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry
*Art in gereral
I'm sure there are many other possibilities I don't yet know about, so anything you send will make my day. If you still need ideas, have a look through my favourites.
I prefer cards to be stamped and written with a few words about yourself or where you live, rather than sent in an envelope. That way they come alive for me. However if it suits you better to send an envelope, don't worry. Like anything else, it's only a preference. I don't collect stamps but enjoy seeing interesting ones if you happen to have them.
***PS Please, real postcards not folded cards.

If you have a spare card, please consider sending it to a very sick child through Post Pals at http://www.postpals.co.uk - and post a smile on a child's face.
