Hello hello!
I was born in Thessaloniki a bit over forty years ago. I've joined postcrossing because I enjoy writing to friends across the globe.
I'm married and both my wife and I love getting interesting things in the post that don't involve bills :).
Postcrossing is an excellent idea and I've already exchanged cards with so many wonderful people! Thanks to everyone who has sent me or registered a card I have sent, as well as anyone who has favoured one of my cards.
Thessaloniki is Greece's second largest city in population, so in case you also live in your country's second largest city, please note it in your postcard! :)

I'm really interested in buildings of all sorts, especially Art Deco, Bauhaus and I'm passionate about saving them.
Postcards from local listed buildings are very much welcome. These are buildings in your neighbourhood, town, city or region that you think are worth talking about. If they are buildings that mean something to you personally, even better.
If you are unsure of what to send, a UNESCO World Heritage Sites postcard would always be welcome.
In Europe there is an event called the "European Heritage Days". I would really appreciate receiving any card associated with that event.
I'm into graphic design so any postcard with cool graphic design that catches your eye is more than welcome. That includes cutting edge modern art (think the art from MoMA, SF MoMA, LACMA, Whitney, Tate Modern, The Welcome Collection).
The other thing I like very much is music and especially world music. This is music in your local language or idiom and with local instruments, preferably instruments noone else has heard of! I particularly enjoy music from the South of Italy (Grecìa Salentina).
Some things you could include in your postcard:
* Write me something in your native language in your native alphabet and translate it into English.
* Suggest a song from a local band or singer I should check out.
* Suggest a local building, garden, park or place I should visit.
* Suggest a movie from your country that I should watch.
