About Anne...

Hi! I’m a college student. I have been studying English for 10 years and now it’s my main purpose: I want my future to be closely connected with this language. I don’t have any hobbies but all my free time I spend reading books, watching films, listening to music or going out with friends. Many assert I’m doing nothing all days long but I know that’s not true))

I've found out about Postcrossing accidentally and thought this could be a great opportunity to learn about other people and cultures. I really enjoy Postcrossing because it’s full of new incredible feelings for me, like receiving actual mail instead of e-mails just makes me really happy and exchanging postcards makes me feel like a citizen of the whole world instead of just a Belarusian one. In addition, I enjoy the process of sending postcards: while waiting for address I’m freezing in anticipation for a couple of seconds, choosing a card, I sincerely care about taste preferences and throwing it in the mailbox thrills me more than my favorite song. But not only the process has won my heart, I also like the invisible part of Postcrossing – how it washes away all the limits between the people by breaking borders of age, nationalities, religions, cultures and distances.

If you want to make me fabulously happy I prefer:

-rock bands/musicians (any but of the past times are especially wanted)
-something hippie's
-cinema and music
-books, movies and cartoons (especially "Futurama" and "South Park") or serials (especially "Doctor Who" and "House M.D.")
-something stupid or absurd, but charming or laughable C:
-superhero cards
-comics
-snickers
-cacti in the wild nature
-punk cards
-scary or horror cards
-magic or mystic postcards
-people (or maybe even unusual shots of real life)
-cards containing quotes
-libraries, universities, reading and studying
-Starbucks or Hard Rock Cafe
-map cards
-road signs
-doors and windows (maybe with somebody/smth in it)
-gates, roads, streets
*all the oddities make me happy, don't hesitate even if you think the card is horrible and ugly, most probably I will like it.

Don't worry if you won't find a card from the wish-list - I would be absolutely happy to receive any card that YOU like :)

I prefer to receive a postcard without an envelope - it's interesting to see a trace of history the postcard came through.) I would also like to have a date on a card and, please, write something on your postcard, not just "Hi" or "Happy Postcrossing". Write something about you, about how are you doing, about … everything! Your hobby, your favorite movie, book, song, quote, your thoughts, a funny story of your life, what’s happening outdoors or what would you like to have for breakfast! I’m curious about you :)

Have a good day!!:)
