About Nicola...

@ Adam from China: I couldn´t register your postcard because it was sent more than one year ago. In case your read this: Thank you so much for the lovely card, the nice stamps and the good wishes!

Dear Postcrossers!

Thank you for all the beautiful postcards and interesting messages you´re sending me.

I´m 48 years old and live in Ennepetal, a small town south of the Ruhr area in Western Germany. I´m working at a university language centre.

Some of my hobbies are
- reading
- listening to classical music (opera etc.)
- playing the recorder and the piano
- singing in a chamber choir
- travelling (mostly to Europe as I hate to fly)
- cooking (I love to try new recipes)
- swimming

I'm happy to receive all kinds of postcards, but of course I have some favourites, for example postcards with pictures/views of

- the place you are from (or other places in your country)
- something typical for your region or country
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- map cards
- from Germany: Chronik-Postkarten
- Atelier Nouvelles Images
- (architectural) details (doors, windows, patios, building fronts, tableware ...)
- universities
- everyday life
- children
- lighthouses
- letterboxes
- trains, trams, cable cars etc.
- Unser Sandmännchen
- the Mole/Krtek/der kleine Maulwurf
- the Moomins
- Beatrix Potter and other classical children´s book illustrations
- books, book shops, book illustrations, reading persons or anything else to do with literature
- Keep calm-cards
- poems and quotes (in English, German, Dutch, a Scandinavian language or French)
- M. C. Escher
- seasonal cards (Christmas, Easter or whatever you´re celebrating in your part of the world)
- birthday cards on my birthday (21 March)
- nature, landscape, countryside
- trees, wild flowers or animals
- water, beach, stones, mountains, deserts
- sky, sun, moon, stars
- gardens, parks and flowers
- labyrinths and mazes
- angels
- tea
- b/w photography

You can get more ideas from my favourites' wall, these are cards I would love but don't yet have. Or just surprise me by sending a postcard that YOU like:-)

I really appreciate it if you write more than just "Happy postcrossing" on your postcard. I'd love to learn something about you, what you do in your life, your hobbies, what happened to you today, or something about the place where you live. Or write me about your favourite book, your favorite quote, your favourite place in the world etc.
