I also enjoy writing cards, I'm sending postcards to my friends all the time.
The main reason I joined postcrossing is to receive cards for my wall. Therefore it's important for me to get cards I like.
I hope you'll respect my wishes (I usually make an effort to respect the wishes of postcrossers I’m sending cards to):
• Please do NOT send blank or ad cards, cards with common animals (like cats or dogs), flowers or drawings/paintings. (I’ll definitely be unhappy if I receive cards like that.)
• I like my postcards with beautiful landscape, ancient or important buildings, famous places or those that show something specific of your region or country (this might include animals, flowers and art, if they are specific for your region or country).
• I prefer cards with just one photo (single view), with little layout (borders, text).
• No envelopes, please.
• If available please put beautiful/various stamps and an „AirMail/prioritaire“ sticker on the card.
• If your language uses a set of characters different from latin, please write something in your letters/language.

Private swaps are available for international postcrossers.
Except from my region (including Speyer with its Romanesque Cathedral and Trier with its Porta Nigra, both UNESCO world heritage) I have also a few cards from France, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Italy „in stock“.
About me:
I'm a 34-year-old Protestant (Christian) theologian from Neustadt/Weinstraße, town with approx. 55000 inhabitants in Palatinate (Pfalz) in Southwest Germany near the French border (Strasbourg is the next bigger French town). I work with young people at the YMCA.
I like fantasy books, esp. those of Diana Wynne Jones, which I read in English. I like European pop/rock music, e.g. Gianna Nannini, Marie Fredriksson, Mylène Farmer, Axelle Red, Hélène Ségara, … and 80ies.
Other hobbies are: Wasting time on the internet, visiting TEN SING concerts, tv/cinema (film français!), languages, singing in choir, filming & photography, travelling (in Europe, mostly to France, Switzerland, Italy), …
