About Nora...

Hello to all who read this.

My hobbies include cross stitching, reading, travel and photography. I also enjoy the sea and live not too far from it in Galway city. I adore wildlife documentaries especially any about marine life. I love dolphins, whales and shark in particular.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. When it comes to Christmas I am like a child. I love all things about it. I've visited Finnish Lapland three times bringing some of my nieces and nephews to visit the real Santa and it was so exciting and special both for myself and for the children. I hope to go again in 2012.

I would love to receive postcards that tell a little about your country, the people, your culture or the flora and fauna but any card you choose to send me including ad cards, cartoon cards and homemade cards is perfect. They will all be treasured in equal measure. However, I would prefer not to receive a card with snakes on it - I am terrified of them. I've looked at a few peoples postcard galleries and they are fantastic. I plan to scan every postcard I send and receive to create my own special gallery.

I work for the Post Office in Galway and love getting mail other than bills in my letterbox. Postcards depicting anything to do with the Post Office and letters or stamps etc are always welcome. Today (28 April 2010) I got my first Postcrossing Postcard. It came from Germany and the stamp used on the card depicted a Postal Worker in the German Post Office - very thoughtful.

I would also enjoy any postcard relating to holidays such as Christmas and Easter and especially any postcards relating to holidays in your country. My birthday is in January so if you are sending me a card around that time then a birthday postcard is always welcome.

Many thanks to everyone who sends me a postcard. I really appreciate it.

This is just for a guideline & you are free to ignore it & send any postcard you wish (but no snakes, please).

Expired cards? Ah, yes - but such is life!
If your card is travelling for longer than you think it should and I haven't registered it let me know. I register all cards as soon as I receive them unless I am away on holidays.
