I'm currently a student at United World College (UWC) of the Adriatic. The aim of the UWC is to use education as a force to unite people; students from 87 different countries of the world live and learn together in a tiny village of Italy to increase international understanding. That's how I realized how small world actually is and now I can think about what happens in the world in a more personal way.
As a person, I'm very much into literature, learning foreign languages, jazz music and cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky, Ingmar Bergman, Jorge Luis Borges and Bob Dylan are people I admire.
I enjoy travelling around Italy, a beautiful country that's hosting me, and learning more about different cultures. For a UWC student that means random Iranian dinners, Chinese Lucky stars, dancing till the morning light with Africans, roommates from Tanzania and Albania... The college offers an opportunity for everybody to try something they've never done before, which means that skiing, yoga, social work, interesting experiments and visits from writers and ambassadors are just a part of what I'd call 'UWC madness'.
I'd prefer something related to arts/literature. Or some vintage postcards :)
