About Brian...
Hello, from the heart of Missouri!
I'm 27 years old and I'm a writer for a small, Christian newspaper. It's not glamorous, but it's fun and I love what I do. I was born in the Great State of Oklahoma, but now live in Jefferson City, Missouri. It's a great city, but I miss Oklahoma!
I love bacon. I also love driving, going to the cinema and college football (Boomer Sooner!).
Postcards are a very economical way to "travel" and I LOVE traveling. One of my goals is to set foot on all seven continents before my 30th birthday. I've got some work to do, but I just need Australia then Antarctica!
Please feel free to write anything you like on the postcards. If you can't think of anything to say, tell me where you think I should visit next!
As far as the type of card: I'm a fan of pretty much anything a tourist would send to his friends back home: landmarks, buildings, churches/cathedrals, map cards, multi-views, something fun and unusual, whatever. I'm flexible. I'm not really into handmade cards, but if you make something really cool that you're proud of, I'll make an exception just for you :-).
I wonder what my mailman thinks of all the fun postcards I get and send. If I were a mailman, I'd probably get fired for reading other people's postcards all day.
**TOTALLY OPTIONAL: If you've read this far, maybe you'll read a little bit further: I'm just a little bit obsessed with sending postcards. I have sent my sister a (different) postcard every day for the past four years while she was away at college, and now she's in grad school, which means I still have a long way to go. It's a bit of a challenge to get new and different postcards to send her!
If you wanted to go WAY above and beyond, you could send me an unwritten/blank postcard in an envelope in addition to the regular Postcrossing card to help me build my to-send stash. If you play along with this crazy game, I'll send you *TWO* thank you postcards: one from Missouri, and one from somewhere else I've traveled (just slip your address in the envelope with the card). I know it's kind of rude to even ask, but hey, some of you Postcrossers are just as crazy as I am.
I can just see my sister getting her mail: "Wait, when did Brian go to Finland?"
